a part of me

I began my journey to be an architect at the age of 16. Today I continue to be fascinated by the opportunity to shape the world we live in. It is a strong belief of mine that the true power in architecture is realised when it is a communal practice. I also believe that as an architect it is important to be inquisitive and embark onto innovation with wonder!

During my undergraduate study at R.V. College of Architecture, Bangalore,India. I understood the implication of design and the dilemas that come with the profession. With every project breif given to us in a semester, I focused on exploring and designing an aspect that was not previously explored, be it the idea of being able to dismantel, rebuild and transform an institution or trying to use a dynamic material like non-newtonian fuids to build. These enquiries culminated in my Thesis, that focused on dealing with a sustainable approach towards reviving a eutriphied lake in my native neighbourhood.

After gaining some practical training at my Internship in Delhi,India. I was curious about the role of new technologies, systems and design methodologies in architecture. This has lead me to apply and join the Masters of Science in Design- Advanced Architectural Design program at the University of Pennsylvania.

With the opportunities and sillks I have and am continuing to learn here at the Stuart Weitzman School of Design, my belief in the importance of Architectural Design and innovation has strengthened and am looking forward to applying and learning more from what the practice of Architecture has to offer.
